Our Story

Gamru Lok Mitra Kendra was established in 2025 as part of the Government of India's ambitious Common Service Center (CSC) scheme, under the Digital India initiative. Located in the heart of Gamru Village near Dharamshala, our center was born out of a deep commitment to bridge the digital divide in rural Himachal Pradesh.

Before our establishment, many residents faced significant challenges accessing essential government services, digital resources, and financial tools. The lack of digital infrastructure and awareness often meant long travels to town centers, lost time, and missed opportunities. Recognizing this gap, we set out to create a reliable, accessible hub right in the village — bringing the power of technology and government services directly to the community’s doorstep.

What began as a modest initiative has now flourished into a trusted center serving thousands of people. Over the years, we have continuously expanded our offerings, empowered citizens through digital literacy programs, and collaborated closely with local authorities to ensure the community’s needs are met promptly and efficiently. Our journey is one of dedication, trust, and shared growth.
